Functional Movement Systems

The FMS screening consists of 7 movement tests used to assess a persons functional and fundamental movement patterns. If a person has any great struggles with any of the movements, we cover 4 clearing tests to identify pain/injury sites. 

We use the FMS screening with every new person we coach with the results impacting the programming choice we make.

Beginning with corrective exercises to improve mobility and re-train movement patterns, we progress to building strength. As the FMS saying goes “first move well, then move often”. This is the approach we use with the people we coach.
 
We’ve been fortunate to have the pleasure of working with many people recovering from lots of different injuries ranging from joint replacement to muscular injuries with great success.
